Sketch Kuro, FW illustrator and animator, recounts their journey creating a fantastic, colour-filled candy world mural for FW HQ: ‘As soon as the FW Mural project was pitched to the team, I knew this was going to be one to leave its mark. It was Nat who put the idea on the table, after acknowledging the success of our first mural produced for the ‘Factory East’ project.’

Sugar, Spice & Everything Nice
Showcasing the power of product promo filming at FWstudios with producer, Aditi Srivastava
One of the first few projects I got my hands dirty with (quite literally) was the FWstudios product filming project. It started out as a way for the team to hone our technical skills and expand the studio portfolio. After realising this could be a great opportunity to reach out to brands who’d be interested in sending us their products for a promo in return, it then evolved into a full-fledged collaboration between FW and some really cool local businesses.
What’s an FW-ism?
FW-ism :- plain old everyday phrases/colloquialisms that we happen to like or use often.
You may have noticed our website has recently undergone a bit of change. Having grown over the last few years, we realised our previous site didn’t quite portray ‘us’ - whether that was the full breadth of our services, or our values or vibe. So we pulled up our sleeves and got to work, throwing a proverbial fresh coat of paint on the whole wagon. We’re proud that our new web presence speaks to what FW is all about.
When you visit, you’ll notice that peppered about the website are some phrases that might leave you scratching your head wondering what they mean. Phrases such as ‘We know our onions’ and ‘FWIW’. We’ve dubbed these ‘FW-isms’.
So of course, we wanted to have some fun bringing these FW-isms to life. Watch our videos to find out what they mean - or scroll below.
FW-ism definitions:
‘know one's onions’
[INFORMAL] be very knowledgeable about something.
"When it comes to Social Credit, Frederica really knows her onions" OR "You need video production, you say? - FW really know their onions.”
‘FWIW’
[Internet slang or text messaging] Acronym - “for what it's worth”.
